We use the same approach for all photos in the shop
- Use of a photo box with a white and black background
- Lighting with a color temperature of 5400 Kelvin
- Use of a single-lens reflex camera with manual setting of the same aperture, shutter speed, ISO setting and white balance
- In the case of very light colors, one f-stop is used larger for the white background.
- The images are used 1:1, without additional alienation or optimization
color search
For your convenience, we also allow searching by color. In the shop you can search for the color on the left side. The search uses the additional description of the respective color variant.
If “blue, purple” is written, the yarn for blue and purple is found.
combination pictures
It is often easier to recognize colors in combination with other colors, or how they work. For this purpose, we create combination images on request and upload them to the appropriate page.
If necessary, please contact us.
display configurations
However, the effect of the colors also depends on the end device with which our pages are visited, here are a few tips for setting them up:
It’s usually easy to trust the colors on MacBooks with an integrated display. However, you can carry out the calibration yourself in the system settings under “Monitor colors and calibration” using the “Calibrate…” button and the settings assistant. When using an external monitor, the settings also depend on the manual settings on the monitor. There are also separate devices for perfect automatic calibration – more e.g. on this website.
There are also setting options for Windows devices, as described here, for example.
Samsung Smartphone: Setting options – the white balance should not be adjusted, no special night mode should be active, and the colors should not be made extra “vivid”.
The Apple iPhone allows changes to the color rendering via the “Night Shift” function. For correct color reproduction, the color temperature should not be corrected, and no Night Shift should be active either, see also here.
